Here there are some stuff I made as a contest for students of our java course:

Steven Wilson, leader of progressive rock uk-based band Porcupine Tree is my favourite artist at the moment.

His music production with Porcupines fellows spaces widely from psychedelic suites (Up the downstair, The sky moves sideways, Signify, Voyage 34) to more song-oriented moods (Stupid Dream, Lightbulb Sun - in any of wich there are still mainly deep progressive influences), to quasi-progressive metal (In Absentia, Deadwing).

Anyway, trying to find categories for such a brilliant talent ends up with minimizing his works - you know, the eternal fight for music categorization, I solved it by dividing music in two big kinds: the one I like and the one I do not.

Steven is the mind for various sideprojects, as No-Man (where he shows his groovy side), Blackfield (possibly the best song albums I've ever listened to), or the drone act of Bass Communion.
